School Board Position Opening
Dear Liberty Community,
We would like to recognize and thank Mr. Scott Simmons who has stepped down from the Liberty School Board. Mr. Simmons has served as a Liberty school board director for almost 8 years. He was initially sworn in on January 24th of 2013. The Liberty School District greatly appreciates and thanks Scott for his commitment, efforts and leadership he has put forth and overseen during his time on the school board. While Scott was serving on the school board, Liberty has continued to thrive and grow into the successful district we enjoy today.
Scott’s resignation from the School Board District #4 now creates a vacancy which needs to be filled. If you are interested in the possibility of becoming a school board member, please see a copy of the press release on the district website. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applicants will be screened by the school board and some will be chosen to be interviewed by the school board. The top interviewee will then be offered a seat on the school board to fill out the remainder of the elected term, which is until the November 2021 election.
Please feel free to contact the District Office if you have any questions about the appointment process.
