Dear Parents, Staff and Community Members,

Welcome to the Liberty School District website.  Our small rural district is located in south Spokane County and encompasses the six separate communities of Fairfield, Latah, Mt. Hope, Plaza, Spangle and Waverly.  Our district borders reach to the southern edge of Spokane, providing our families the benefits of rural living with easy proximity to the city for work, services, and other enrichment activities.

Liberty School District currently serves over 520 students with 370+ enrolled at Liberty Elementary and Junior High School and 150+ enrolled at Liberty High School.  Our schools are well known and appreciated for their small class sizes, highly qualified teachers and amazing staff overall.  Liberty School District promotes high academic standards and is very proud of its students, their efforts, and the high levels of accomplishments over the years.  In addition to providing a solid education in the basics, a special focus is also offered in subjects such as Spanish, math and science (including honors and AP courses), PE, reading/language arts, music art, vocational studies, and technology.

The district campus and facilities are well maintained and up-to-date, with the most recent remodel/addition to the district facilities completed during the 2018-19 school year.  The community is extremely supportive of our schools and programs with tremendous attendance at sporting contests, music programs, and other school events.  Past community support for bonds and levies has been outstanding as well.

Thank you to all who are a part of making Liberty such a great school and a great community for our children!
