November 30-December 4, 2020
Each Friday afternoon we will send out our “This Week at Liberty” email, which highlights the various activities that will occur during the upcoming week. If you would like to receive email notifications for events at Liberty, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
To view events scheduled beyond the next week, visit our home page at www.LibertySD.us, where you’ll find the monthly district calendar located toward the bottom.
Kindergarten 5 days- Starting Monday, our kindergarten students will be coming to school 5 days a week. All buses are moving back to their traditional routes. All bus-riding families will be contacted with new pick up times which will begin on Monday, as well.
Bus Route Changes- With Kindergarten attending every day, beginning November 30th, our bus routes will be reverting back to their traditional routes. We understand the recent bus time changes have been inconvenient , but we hope to be able to stabilize the bus routes with the return to the traditional routes.
Year-Start Paperwork: Parents/guardians, if you haven’t already, please remember to complete and return the paperwork contained in the year-start packets that were handed out during our kick-off conferences in September. Many of the documents are required to be updated each year and it is vital that we have the most current information on hand for your student. If you need additional copies, please contact the school office.
Bus Drivers Needed
Liberty needs substitute bus drivers! If you’ve ever considered learning to drive a bus (or putting your existing CDL to use), now is a great time to act. All training is provided by the district, and any expenses incurred during the licensing process will be reimbursed on a set schedule once you begin to work at Liberty. This is a great opportunity for stay-at-home parents, grandparents, or part-time workers with morning and/or afternoon availability. Application materials are available HERE. Contact Rick Brash, transportation supervisor, at 245-3217 if you have any questions.
Substitute Custodians and Paraeducators Needed
Liberty is also taking applications for substitute custodians and paraeducators. If interested, please contact the district office at 509-624-4415.
On the school district webpage, we now have a COVID-19 Dashboard which will document:
- Positive COVID-19 cases within the last 14 days.
- Students or staff quarantined for being in close contact with a COVID-positive individual within the last 14 days.
- Notes regarding each building’s current status.
Please contact Nurse Miranda Holling at email@example.com with questions or concerns.
Attestation Cards- Please remember to complete an attestation card for your student each day they attend school. If you have misplaced the first set of cards sent home with your student, a blank form with 4 cards on one page, is attached to this email for printing.
