Welcome to Liberty Elementary and Junior High School, home of the Knights. We are located in southern Spokane County, Washington. Our school serves about 300 students in grades K-8, and our special education program serves students starting at birth.

Our elementary program for grades K-6 is made up of self-contained classes with a solid staff of excellent teachers. Students have instruction from specialist teachers in music and physical education, and have opportunities to utilize technology in a variety of ways throughout the day. Community-sponsored sports programs, the Missoula Children's Theater, and the County Library system offer a variety of extracurricular opportunities for students outside the regular school day.

In addition to a solid core academic program at the junior high, we offer elective classes in technology, choir, band, drama, Spanish, science investigations, math applications, and literature exploration. A comprehensive school sports program includes football, softball, baseball, volleyball, wrestling, track, and boys' and girls, basketball.

We boast an energetic and highly motivated Junior Boosters program run by parents who have raised more than $90,000 for our school over the past 10 years, and our Washington Reading Corps program provides reading tutoring for students throughout the day using a large cadre of volunteers. Special programs include an exemplary special education program, Title reading program, and LAP math program run by experienced and knowledgable staff. A recipient of the federal 21st Century Learning Grant, Liberty is home to the LAMP after-school math program, which provides math assistance and motivational activities for students in grades 5-8. Schoolwide events include parent information nights in the fall, a science fair in the spring, and numerous concerts, programs, and assemblies throughout the year.

We are very fortunate here to have a great school, be part of a close and caring community, and have wonderful people to work with every day. Our entire staff strives to keep making our school one our community can appreciate with great pride.
